Case Study

Best Day Ever Management is the umbrella company overseeing Heather Mountain Lodge, Great Canadian Heli-Skiing, and Kindle Restaurant. We were contacted to take a few photos and videos, and we were fortunate enough to have had a wonderful two-year professional relationship helping them build the brand of their lodge, promote their epic heli-skiing, and establish the look of their new restaurant brand.

A lot of the work we did for them overlapped into other areas of their business, from photographing beautiful mountain wildflowers in the spring to filming epic powder turns in the winter. We kept a busy schedule year-round, updating visuals and stories from all corners of their business, including the hidden climbing wall in their staff lodging area and interviewing the kitchen staff on their locally sourced dishes. It was a pleasure to work with their team at that time, exposing their beautiful amenities to the world.

Facility and Program Series

On multiple occasions, we filmed and photographed at the lodge in all types of capacities. We captured their fine dining and followed various summer programming to advertise that things like interpretive hikes were available to the public looking to explore further into Glacier National Park.

Facility and Program Series

We had so much fun capturing the beauty of the facility grounds, interviewing staff, and hiking through Glacier National Park to film epic nearby adventures. The summer in the mountains is stunning as it is, but having multiple video projects requiring us to get out there into remote areas to record our vast backyard was very special. We love being in nature and bringing it all back with us to our editing studio and getting creative to show it off.

Web & Graphic Design

Working in Wordpress

We don’t like to advertise that we are capable in web development, even though we made our website with a mix of Bootstrap and WordPress. But sometimes, when people are in need, we can provide assistance. We created an abundance of graphics and icons to be used on all types of platforms. We created branded assets such as their newly formatted wedding booklet and updated the visuals on their website. But please don’t ask us to create a website for you or even worse, become your social media marketing agent!

Branding Design

Kindle Logo & Branding

During our time with this client, they decided to rebrand their restaurant, so inevitably, they asked us to help. We created their new logo along with a library of branding assets, like an animated logo and photos and videos to support their new dining experience.

Farmed, Foraged, Fired

They were proud of their high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and their methods of creating high-end meals. So we were proud to capture and share it with the world! We had several video interviews with food suppliers to create a YouTube series for Kindle, but their employment structure changed, and the project was canceled before we got too far. It was fun and educational while it lasted!

Food & Lifestyle

Often, when we film, we photograph. It’s a good use of time and resources to capture as much as possible. We had a lot of fun photographing the kitchen staff and, of course, their delicious creations. Okay, maybe we liked these photo shoots not only to get creative, but to taste-test some of the most incredible dishes in the area!

Video & Motion Graphics

Mixed Video Production

Not only did we have the privilege of joining a few trips up in a helicopter to some remote areas to capture some guests shredding some epic powder, but we also had fun showcasing the full experience at the lodge before and after a regular day of heli-skiing. Our team combined our creative animation and video editing skills to produce their exciting visual promotions.

Winter can be tricky!

Getting out into the cold, snowy weather with cameras comes with its own set of challenges. But we find ways to keep our fingers warm and lenses dry, prioritizing safety and producing epic shots.

Braille Mountain Initiative

The Braille Mountain Initiative was a unique opportunity to share the stories of blind skiers exploring the backcountry and shredding through their own perfect powder lines. It was a privilege to interview blind skiers and their guides to gain insight into the work they do to get out on their skis. They had an annual fundraising event to bring more blind skiers into the backcountry that we helped bring to life with various digital assets.
